World-wide Information systems deployment & installation

ITG has performed over 200,000 IT hardware installations including desktops, laptops, servers and data migrations. Our engagements are distributed across commercial and government markets, encompassing more than 1,250 national locations and 130+ international sites.

Our deployments range from one unit to tens of thousands of units. In accordance with U.S. Government network access and security requirements, ITG provides personnel with the appropriate clearances and technical certifications for the duration of the deployments.

ITG’s primary objective is to provide IT services and support to government and industry were integrated computer-based systems are vital to effective information processing. A key element in obtaining this objective is the development, integration, and implementation of an efficient, cost effective, and timely computer installation process.

ITG currently provides computer installations, maintenance, and warranty service support for hundreds of thousands of computers for Federal agencies and prime contractors. In support of these activities ITG maintains over 1,250 locations in the United States and more than 130 international locations. ITG is uniquely qualified to provide reliable, high quality system installation services with over 4,000+ available field engineers and technicians.

Federal Hardware Installation Process

Since 1984, we have handled the logistics, installation and on-going technical support for hundreds of thousands of equipment operated by Civilian, or Military US Government Agencies, domestically in every state of the Union, and abroad, in most high concentrations of Federal employees overseas

The installation process adopted by ITG is a structured, systematic methodology that has evolved from our lessons learned in prior component installations. Successful adherence to established installation schedules is only obtained when precursor activities of acquisition, distribution, client site schedule coordination, and personnel deployment are appropriately coordinated, monitored, and tracked.

The logistics of coordinating computer equipment and installation personnel, with appropriate qualifications and security clearances are complicated but achievable when handled by our experienced logistic experts. ITG has provided acquisition, distribution, and installation of computer systems for many years and during this time has developed the necessary communication, tracking, and monitoring systems to ensure that the installation process runs smoothly.

Installation team members are specifically selected for a given team by the corporate-level installation specialist in order to ensure a proper mix of hardware installation expertise while at the same time ensuring schedule adherence and minimizing logistics cost.

ITG’s computer installation process encompasses a number of steps designed to provide efficient and effective component installation. These activities include:

  • Transport of components to be installed from loading, staging to installation area
  • Un-boxing of shipped components
  • Performance of the installation process in accordance with client approved procedural guidelines
  • In conjunction with installation of the new component, de-installation of the existing component and associated peripheral equipment identified at the individual site location
  • Migration of user documents and personal settings from the old hard drive
  • Installation of the new software image
  • Injection of user documents and personnel settings to the new hard drive
  • Testing and certification of the new component(s)
  • Erasure of old hard drives
  • Boxing of the de-installed components
  • Movement of the de-installed components and all related components from the replaced workstations to an area designated by the local site contact
  • Removal of all packing boxes, materials, and debris from the installation site area to a designated location either on-site or off-site

ITG follows Security Technical Implementation Guides, (STIG), or as required by the customer to fulfill installation requirements across a broad spectrum of electronic equipment and software

Cases of World-wide Installations

U.S. Army – Television Audio Support Activity (TASA)

Integration Technologies Group, Inc. designed, deployed, installed, and tested reception workstations, imaging equipment, exchange servers, computers, printers, graphic equipment, file servers, LAN Networks for the Training Support Centers, Electronic Multi-media Imaging Center, and APG Photo Lab to support U.S. Army functions.

The two Training Support Centers were implemented in Alaska, in very remote areas with hostile climates. Equipment was airlifted to the location from the staging areas.

Transportation Security Administration

In support of the Transportation Security Administration, ITG provided over 350 logisticians and administrative personnel for the security agency passenger screening rollout. ITG was responsible for the purchasing, staging, coordination, inventory, and asset management for components needed for the addition of security lanes at 435 airports both within and outside the continental U.S.

In support of this effort, ITG purchased and deployed throughout the U.S. over 300 laptops within one week, implemented ISP accounts, developed secure access controls, performed site inventories, post-installation surveys and testing, and developed Asset Management databases

Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office (TIMPO)

ITG performed deployment, installation, imaging and data migration services for TIMPO (Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office) under the EUD (End User Device) contract for more than 1,200 facilities and military hospitals worldwide.

Based on ITG’s past experience, we developed survey procedures to minimize potential delays in logistics implementation by focusing additional effort on preparing site personnel when site surveys are to be performed, frequently following up with site personnel during their preparation time to ensure full understanding of necessary preparatory work, and proactively ensuring that all preparations were on schedule. To enhance this process we developed site-specific checklists of necessary preparatory activities by site personnel and verification of all possible preparations to be accomplished.

Installation and Operations for all Combat Service Support Automation Management Office

ITG performed installation and operations for all Combat Service Support Automation Management Office (CSSAMO) functions, in support of the users of logistics Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMISs) ─SARSS-1, SAMS-1/2, SAAS-MOD, SPBS-R, ULLS-G, ULLS-S4, ULLS-A─ assigned to Operation Iraqi Freedom. We operated a help desk for STAMIS functional and technical problems associated with the loaded applications and their peripherals; validate and load the latest ICP, SCP, and IAVA releases; responded to trouble calls within the allowable timeframe; monitored and analyzed hardware and software trends; implemented the needed preventive measures; and submitted engineering change packages (ECP) as applicable.

We also developed training materials from the EUM, SSM, Commander’s Guide, and CSSAMO’s knowledge management database in order to provide hands-on sustainment training. Analysts at ITG CSSAMO’s also identified and fixed hardware/software problems; loaded preventive/corrective measures; developed templates for ad hoc reports; maintained a database of trouble tickets, problems reported or identified, and solutions implemented; performed trend analysis and recommended corrective/preventive measures; managed the work orders and the hand receipts associated with the evacuated/issued hardware; configured software parameters; designed and implemented tools to effectively use available resources; and troubleshoot communications and network devices impacting the transmission of data from remote locations.
